From 35db253fb64c62295256c8241af77a6081d653ac Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Gregory Maxwell Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2016 22:44:14 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] Do not absolutely protect local peers from eviction. With automatic tor HS support in place we should probably not be providing absolute protection for local peers, since HS inbound could be used to attack pretty easily. Instead, this counts on the latency metric inside AttemptToEvictConnection to privilege actually local peers. --- src/net.cpp | 2 -- 1 file changed, 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/net.cpp b/src/net.cpp index 653b7598f..ad20bb223 100644 --- a/src/net.cpp +++ b/src/net.cpp @@ -821,8 +821,6 @@ static bool AttemptToEvictConnection(bool fPreferNewConnection) { continue; if (node->fDisconnect) continue; - if (node->addr.IsLocal()) - continue; vEvictionCandidates.push_back(CNodeRef(node)); } }
